黑旋风李逵背着老母直返梁山。路经沂岭李逵为母寻水而去。不料李母却被山中老虎吃掉。李逵赶回杀了一窝四虎葬了老母。村民中李鬼妻认出李逵便告知曹太公将李逵灌醉并告到县衙。朱贵、戴宗受宋江之命，下山接应李逵，朱贵的弟弟朱富是杨雄弟子，朱富在押解途中请杨雄吃酒，私放李逵，杨雄也没有办法，因要犯走了，杨雄被降职，心中感到非常烦闷，在回家路上被一群落魄汉子缠住借钱杨雄不借汉子们用绳索捆住杨雄并对杨雄拳打脚踢。最后得“拼命三郎”石秀替其解围，二人结为兄弟。杨雄之妻潘巧云与和尚裴如海有染，潘巧云借为前夫王押司亡灵做功德之际将裴如海请至家中。当晚潘巧云与裴如海在房内宽衣解带。被“鼓上蚤”时迁发现。石秀在月光下舞弄棍棒一条黑影从旁边闪过石秀竟没有察觉但一件首饰落地的声音惊动了石秀。石秀抓住了黑影黑影道出原委自己名叫时迁人称“鼓上蚤”。时迁于是将此事告诉了石秀。石秀本来不信于是躲在楼梯口石秀发现裴如海从潘巧云的房中出来，潘巧云怕丑事败露，先咬石秀调戏自己，杨雄听罢怒不可遏赶走石秀。
